Five Yard Radius Band- Our Story:
It all started in the Summer of 2003, when five friends talked about forming a band at a neighborhood dinner party. It was a great collaboration, with a female lead singer, a drummer, two guitar players, and a bass player. The friends got together for practices, and performed their first gig in June of 2003. Later, a keyboard player was added for a total of six members.
Since that first gig, the band has performed at block parties, private parties, weddings, and many venues including the Kennett Brewing Company, The Brickette Lounge and the Sly Fox, well over one hundred special occasions in all!
A unique attribute of our band is that all six members are singers. We combine to sing very nice multi part harmonies, and each of us has occasion to sing lead vocals.

Five Yard Radius Band - Our Players:
Cathy Yost - Lead Singer: Cathy is an amazing singer who leads our band with style and grace, and a very special voice. Cathy sings actively for her church, and is a teacher and sports coach.
Alex DiEdwardo - Lead guitar: Alex has many years of experience playing lead guitar and it shows, however he also can play a variety of stringed instruments, and is a fine acoustic guitar player. Alex also does lead vocals on some of our tunes.
Mark Bilodeau - guitar and bass: Mark is primarily our bass player, but he also plays great acoustic and electric guitar, as well as slide and mandolin. Mark has many years of band experience, and was the founding member and lead guitarist for The Fabulous Taco Brothers.
Mike Pagnotta - drums: Mike is as solid of a drummer as you will ever find, and as a band member, it is a pleasure to have Mike drive the train. He can sing lead vocals in a song while maintaining a solid drum groove.
Charlie Maranzella - keyboards: Charlie is a classically trained, super versatile keyboard player, able to spin out everything from melodic Elton John to hard rockin’ tunes. He provides great keyboard rhythms, and can crank out blazing lead riffs!
Dave Hallett - Song and Dance Man, Rhythm Guitar, harmonica: Dave enjoys a variety of guitar styles including bluegrass and finger style guitar, and of course rock, but playing in the band is a favorite activity! They say that Dave puts the ‘harm’ in harmonica - and yes, that’s true!
